At Common Time Tapes, it's not only our goal to deliver music from underground artists on a format we adore, but also to support non-profits through our Charitapes series, and protect mother earth through all our efforts.

Supporting Non-Profits.

Every year, Common Time Tapes puts together a fundraising compilation consisting of 19 songs from unsigned artists of varying genres from around the world. Each volume in the series, appropriately titled "Charitapes," benefits a non-profit organization that we believe is truly creating good in the world. All proceeds raised from sales of Charitapes benefit the chosen non-profit. You can read more about our Charitapes series by clicking on the Releases button at the top of this page.

Sustainability Pledge

At Common Time Tapes, we put forth every effort to be environmentally conscious. Did you know nearly 90% of our materials are either recycled or come from recycled materials?

The tape we use to record our releases is 100% recycled, and still sounds top-notch!
The cassette shells are recycled too!
If we can help it, we try to print our J-cards on paper made from recycled materials.
The packaging we use to ship our cassettes are all re-used shipping materials.
The paper we print our shipping labels on are all re-used papers. So don't be surprised if there's something printed on the back of your label!
Any excess paper from J-card or shipping label cutting is always recycled in the paper waste bin.
