It's officially spooky season, and Common Time Tapes has not one, but two (2!!) Halloween-themed releases coming out.
1) Savannah Grand / Teeth of Glass - In Good Spirits
This split release between Floridian experimental artist Savannah Grand and Coloradan Patrick R. Pärk, operating under his latest moniker, Teeth of Glass, brings a total of nine new horror/thriller-inspired tracks to the table. Savannah Grand has six new songs, each inspired by a different film -- The Crow, The Shining, Resident Evil... just to name a few.
Teeth of Glass' three tracks on the other hand, act as a teaser to our next feature. It includes three tracks (and a short snippet of a fourth) from "Halloween Prom Massacre,' a score to a fabricated story about a spree-killing hitchhiker in the 80s who crashes a school dance, and a punk who seeks revenge on the killer for brutally murdering his girlfriend. Which leads us to
2) Teeth of Glass - Halloween Prom Massacre
You just read a little bit about what "Halloween Prom Massacre" is about, but here's the full synopsis:
“In 1986, a young hitchhiker commits a series of murders at a remote Colorado high school dance on Halloween. A young punk accidentally destroys some crucial evidence about the killer; and after discovering a bloodbath in a hallway, he's slaughtered by the Maniac. The fleeing suspect is finally killed. But in a shocking twist, he's eviscerated by the recently-murdered Punk's girlfriend, drenched in blood for the entire school to witness."
"In Good Spirits" will release on our Bandcamp page on October 1st. "Halloween Prom Massacre" will release shortly after on Devil's Night, October 30th, 2021. Both releases will be available digitally and on cassette, and HPM will be limited to just 25 copies.
